Over the course of the last 100 years, BELSTAFF has grown from an original motorcycle racing jacket to an international fashion brand. Since originally developing racing jackets for British motorcycle racers, Belstaff has supplied garments to everyone from World War 2 soldiers to Hollywood actors. While a waxed cotton jacket seems simple enough, the company’s founder, Harry Grosberg travelled across Europe and Asia in an effort to find cutting edge fabrics for use in their jackets, finally landing on an Egyptian waxed cotton, ideal for racing jackets due to the fabric’s breathability and waterproofing characteristics.
